Advancing Pretrial Policy & Research (APPR) technical assistance consultants organized and facilitated a workshop titled “Responding to Pretrial Compliance and Noncompliance”
on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, during the 51st Annual Conference and Training Institute hosted by the National Association of Pretrial Services Agencies (NAPSA) in New Orleans, LA. The panel was made up of various criminal justice stakeholders from the State of Michigan as well as community corrections professionals from Virginia (VA panelists pictured below, seated second from left is Samantha Honig-SAW and seated third from left is Maureen Anderson-PWC); APPR recently provided technical assistance to both states which resulted in the development of new processes to enhance responses to Pretrial compliance and noncompliance. The purpose of the workshop was to assist the audience in understanding the value of developing protocols for responding to compliance and noncompliance, become familiar with best practices for responding to compliance and noncompliance and learn steps to develop response protocols.
