Anna Hefferon – is currently a Pretrial/Probation Supervisor for the Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Community Corrections, for the Special Programs.  She has worked at Chesterfield CCS since 2011.  Prior to CCS, Anna worked at Offender Aid and Restoration of Richmond, at the Richmond City Jail.  While in Graduate School at VCU, Anna worked with Dr. Faye Taxman as a research assistant – mostly around Evidence Based Practices.  Anna has a Master’s in Criminal Justice and has a passion for promoting and educating our community about Mental Health Awareness.  Anna is currently on the VCCJA Conference committee, Supervisor Committee, and has been the acting secretary for VCCJA for the last 2 years.  In addition, Anna is the co-facilitator for Chesterfield County’s Overdose Review Committee – ask her about it!  She is excited to be more involved with VCCJA!

Taffey Thomas – I was hired on with the Hampton-Newport News Criminal Justice Agency in July 2022 as the Senior Office Specialist and have occupied the Floater position since August of 2023. My current position allows me to assist the administrative team in the areas of Intake, Drug Screens, and  the Front Desk. I have previously managed 6 individual Board of Directors during my 9-year stint in property Management which makes me the ideal candidate for the Secretary position with VCCJA. I tend to think of myself as a multi-use tool, and always ready to assist where there is a need.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, playing computer games, watching movies and napping.
